Artist Statement

Design with a new Soul

Notably with the innovation of computer aided design, there has lacked a spiritual energy in the work that appears on the internet and in print, Soul-less Design. I stumble constantly about this type of design work; trying to communicate, but failing to catch me at my core. Its purpose is one-sided and has none of the charismatic appeal of pre-computer work.

I find myself in an unsettling position which juxtaposes my devotion to the age of technology with my desire for "real" art. My aim is to bring the life back into design through the use of "real world" influences and elements. I have noticed that I am not alone in my endevour and I hope to see this trend flourish.
